Abstract
A significant global constituency of Pentecostal Christians seeks to preserve the apostolic faith precisely by rejecting the Nicene–Constantinopolitan Creed and the Trinitarian dogma it supported. Macchia examines the dialogue between Oneness and Trinitarian Pentecostals — the two families produced by the “New Issue” of 1913–1916 and the Assemblies of God’s Statement of Fundamental Truths of 1916 — and asks what unity in apostolic faith might mean across that divide. Oneness Pentecostalism is among the largest branches of the movement and is almost absent from Brazilian scholarship.
