Abstract
A critical review of David J. Courey’s What Has Wittenberg to Do with Azusa? Luther’s Theology of the Cross and Pentecostal Triumphalism (T&T Clark, 2015). Mittelstadt evaluates Courey’s constructive theological dialogue between Lutheran theology of the cross and Pentecostal triumphalism and prosperity tendencies, assessing the book’s contribution to both Reformation and Pentecostal studies.
