Abstract
An ethnographic study of how a Pentecostal congregation in Limpopo handles death and mourning, and of what happens where Pentecostal practice meets inherited ritual. The article is a working example of the question that African and Asian Pentecostal scholarship puts to the movement everywhere: which part of our practice is Scripture, and which part is culture we arrived carrying?
