Pentecostalism in the Democratic Republic of the Congo: A Glance at the Past, Present and Future

Abstract
A survey of Congolese Pentecostalism through three fundamental dimensions, written from within the context it describes. The article traces the movement’s trajectory in the Democratic Republic of the Congo and asks what its present configuration implies for the decades ahead — the kind of case study that rarely reaches Brazilian readers, and a corrective to accounts of African Pentecostalism written from outside the continent.
